Photography Feedback from Katie & Andrew's Wedding

I wanted to share with you all some recent feedback I received from Katie and Andrew, after I photographed their wedding at Dumbleton Hall, Worcestershire, on Saturday 1st March 2014.

Hi Gill,

Just wanted to thank you again for all your help and the fantastic photo's of our wedding day.

It was such an amazing day and you really have managed to capture this from start to finish. We both appreciated you spending the time to find out what we wanted and doing a pre-venue visit with us, this all added to the excitement of the day. Since the wedding we have received some lovely feedback from our guests commenting on how you made them feel at ease during the formal photos and how relaxed you were throughout.

For anyone looking for a wedding photographer, we can highly recommend Gill. She took time to get to know us and  understand what photo's we wanted, made us feel comfortable the whole day whilst letting us take centre stage, brilliant with all guests including stroppy youngsters and most importantly we have so many fantastic photos of the day to keep forever.

Kind regards,

Andy & Katie

A sneaky peek of Andrew & Katie's Wedding - Dumbleton Hall, Worcestershire

Here's a sneaky peek at some of the wedding photographs from Andrew and Katie's big day, held at Dumbleton Hall, Worcestershire, on March 1st 2014.

It was a great day with what must have been the best weather of 2014 so far. It was a particular pleasure to photograph as I do a lot of voluntary work for St Philips and St James Church in Leckhampton, Cheltenham, where the wedding took place.

After the touching ceremony and a few photos outside, we all made our way across the beautiful Cotswold countryside to the spectacular setting of Dumbleton Hall. It provided the perfect backdrop.

A delicious wedding breakfast followed the group photos and even I got to sample all three courses, a rare treat, especially when a large slice of chocolate fudge cake was bought out to me.  What a kick it had. It was certainly needed too if the speeches were anything to go by - with three best men, poor Andrew was in for a hard time. Surprisingly, they were relatively kind to him, it was Katie's Dad that took the prize for the longest speech - 22 minutes I heard.

The day was rounded off perfectly with the first dance, which was very touching. As I left I got the feeling the party was only just getting going!

Pre-wedding Meeting at Dumbleton Hall

Enjoyed a very productive meeting on Saturday with Katie and Andrew, who are getting married at Dumbleton Hall on March 1st. Thoroughly enjoyed familiarising myself with the venue and its grounds, something I always like to do before any wedding. Found some lovely spots for group and private photographs, including a very large old stone window that seemed to be sitting derelict and forgotten about under a beautiful sprawling oak tree. There's also the most magnificent lake setting, not to mention a formal tiered garden area. Perfect for getting some elevation into the pictures.

All in all it should be a great day and a good chance to add to my ever growing portfolio.
